Frequently Asked Questions about Laser Hair Therapy
Does the laser work on everyone?
The laser we use, the Hair Max Laser Comb, received FDA clearance in tests conducted on men. Tests for clearance on women are currently being conducted.
How long does it take to see results?
Keeping in mind that hair grows about ¼ inch per month, and needs to be properly stimulated with the laser prior to actually starting to grow, we have found that it takes from 3 to 6 months to see what level of result an individual will get when using the laser treatment program.
Is your laser FDA approved?
Yes. We use the Hair Max Laser Comb and it is the ONLY laser that has been FDA approved for hair re-growth.
Are laser treatments messy like Minoxidil?
No. The laser actually looks like a large brush and is literally combed through the hair. Thia allows the laser's light to contact the areas of the scalp where hair has been lost or is thinning.
We do recommend a regimen of products, including shampoo, conditioner and a treatment product, that will be used in conjunction with the laser. However, these products are not greasy or messy like Rogaine / Minoxidil and are easily incorporated into your daily grooming routine.
How much do laser treatments cost?
Laser treatments are a very inexpensive way to help re-grow hair. We use the only FDA approved laser and we sell it for home use for about 10% less than what the manufacturer sells it for on their website.
Do not be fooled by expensive studio treatments being offered with a “hooded” type laser that you passively sit under. NONE of the hooded lasers have received FDA clearance for use in hair re-growth treatment.
